6th Annual Recycling Drive
2012 Computer Recycling Drive at Lyons Township High School is Expanded to Include a Green Festival
The WSCCI Foundation is pleased to announce that their successful Computer Recycling Drive will return in 2012 on Saturday, May 19, with increased opportunities to grow environmental awareness. A sister event, also held at LT South, will feature environmental products and programs. The Computer Recycling Drive begins at 9 am and closes at noon. The accompanying green festival at Dening Park will begin at 11 am and close at 3 pm.
The Recycling Drive collects some 80,000 pounds of computer equipment annually, providing a free, local alternate to landfill waste and unethical export of hazardous waste. It is our hope that this year's expansion will provide further access to responsible options in our community.
Do you have a product or service that offers an opportunity to reduce waste? conserve water? improve air quality? eliminate chemicals and improve food quality? Be a vendor at this event and exhibit your clean, green options for eating, drinking, growing, and living!
